This is true. I must say i have never thought of underperforming employees shifting blame onto others as gaslighting. Always thought of it as a lack of accountability, integrity, mental resilience etc etc but i think this is a great insight you provide. But you are right - it is gaslighting to a large extent.

It can be all those things. But when you start to doubt your own mind this moves it into gaslighting in my opinion.
